PROJECT: This approx. 50,200 sq renovation consisted of adding a new student Welcome Center and updating the Administrative offices for Nova Southeastern University, NSU,  Davie Campus.  The challenge was designing this project in a complex phasing scheme within the complete makeover of NSU’s Horvitz Administration Complex while keeping the day-to-day operations intact.  Also, it need to be designed around existing color schemes to stay within budget.

 

To meet the aggressive, four month schedule, ACAI proposed procuring Contractor selection via the Construction Management at Risk delivery method.  This process provided extra time with immediate design assistance and involvement by the subs and an early start of Construction while maintaining the overall project schedule.
